Besan - a type of flour obtained from one of the Indian varieties of chickpeas (Cicer arientinum). It is used in many countries, especially in India, where it is an important ingredient of many dishes of the local cuisine, incl. packors.
Regardless of its use in the kitchen, it is also used in the Indian subcontinent - mixed with water or yogurt - as a peeling face mask.
